The Village

The Village

The village church is actually the original Parish church of Seapatrick, with worship being offered in the village from the 5th century. It was only at the beginning of the 19th Century when Holy Trinity was built that things changed. Today it is not uncommon for the 'wee church' to have a full congregation as the community vibe of the church continues to reach out and attract new people.

Welcome

Welcome

Holy Trinity is a community focussed church which never sleeps. Obviously we do close the doors, but we certainly have a reputation for always having something going on. We believe this is a sign of a healthy church as it evidences a good community spirit. We would love you to join us in this community, so please feel free to join us in worship or at some of our many activities or home groups.

Working with Young People

Working with Young People

We in Seapatrick love working with young people not to get anything out of it, or to fill our pews. No - we love working with young people because we love young people.

Our History

Our History

Seapatrick Parish can trace its history back to the 5th century when tradition has it that St Patrick camped overnight to rest on his journey from Downpatrick to Armagh. Christian worship has been offered in the area since then, and in 1837 the church in the village of Seapatrick was built, with Holy Trinity being built in 1882.

Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity is the Parish Church of Seapatrick Parish. Based in Banbridge on the edge of the river Bann 'the big church' as it is affectionately known has been functioning as a worship centre from the beginning of the 19th Century ever since it's move from the village of Seapatrick. The Church has been added to and modified to best meet the needs of the Parishioners with the latest modification being the straightening of the crooked spire in 2010.

WELCOME TO SEAPATRICK PARISH CHURCH

Seapatrick Parish Church is a large Anglican Church in the heart of County Down. Comprising two worship centres, one in Seapatrick Village and one Banbridge, we strive to extend the message of the Gospel to all those we come across.

We welcome people of all backgrounds and traditions into our community as we seek to be inclusive and welcoming in the name of Jesus. In offering a comprehensive range of worship within the parameters of that which is Anglican, we are particularly blessed with very talented and faithful Organists and Choirmasters alongside both Junior and Senior choirs and musicians to lead our worship.
