Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life. Proverbs 16.31
We embrace getting older in Seapatrick Parish, the Bible is full of God doing amazing things through people of considerable age, so we completely reject the idea that as a follower of Christ you can ever be 'over the hill'. Indeed, in looking at the Bible we believe that it is the process of ageing which can bring us closer to God through wisdom, experience and in witnessing the faithfulness of the Lord through time.
If you are an older Parishioner with Seapatrick Parish, then we thank God for you and what you still give to us in terms of prayers, time and commitment.
The Bible is clear that God does not give up on us - it is only by the condition of our hearts that we are judged, so if you are an older follower of Christ stand against the lies of the enemy which tell you that you are finished, your time is done or that you need to take a step back! No - Now is the time for you to gift your experience, your wisdom and your time back to those who are starting out, who are just beginning their faith journeys, and who desperately need wise heads, experienced hands and committed followers to guide them along the journey which lies ahead...
If you are an older Parishioner with Seapatrick Parish, then we thank God for you and what you still give to us in terms of prayers, time and commitment. Please see how you can get involved with us and how we can support you as you come to a time in your life in which you need a little more support from the Church which you have supported for so long.
Whether we visit you in your home, bring you home communion, broadcast services directly into your living room every Sunday or provide activities and events for you to gather socially - please let us know how we can reach out and keep you close within the family of Seapatrick Parish.
